The theme until the end of November is kitchen tools. I have so many gadgets, utensils and the like that I thought it would be interesting to see everyone else's too. A member of the group, posted a couple weeks back, a bowl filled with rolling pins and what not for all to enjoy. If you have not joined www.flickr.com yet, you would be pleasantly surprised at all the inspirational images people download. Great stuff....

The weekend past was spent in wonderful surroundings featuring the work of Pat, Sean and I (from right to left)throughout Pat's home. I will write more later but, for the interim here is a link to recent uploaded files on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/mossnbeads/sets/1220160/

It was a most successful venture and one that we are going to also do in the Spring of next year.

Neckpieces

Neckpieces
Originally uploaded by mossnbeads.
Recent work in the last few days using semi-precious beads and materials. The Amazonite 3-tier neckpiece uses a bit of crystal and linen tones mixed throughtout. Tigereye and Ocean Jasper are the main materials used on the other selections. The large faceted nuggets on the 3rd one are wonderful also.

An ArtDoll in the works

I started this piece back in June at an Artshow in Pittsburgh. I was playing around with needle felting a face and came up with this modern twist. Inspiration has finally hit me to bead embellish on her.

A new ArtDoll
The light in the labradorite star is amazing!

This multi-needle felting tool covers too much of an area to do the detail work..

The show was extremely slow with the cold, rain and the like. We made some good contacts for the upcoming Artist Openhouse we are having on the 22nd and 23rd of this month. Our displays were very nice and got a lot of attention, it just takes so much energy to load up, set up, tear down, load up and then unload at home. Atleast I did not have to worry about the Trimline canopy this time or be one of those poor souls who were displayed at Wildcat Park OUTSIDE.

Monday Night Dinner

Monday Night Dinner

Monday Night Dinner entry to: http://www.flickr.com/groups/96074209@N00/

Roasted a ham scored it with cloves and pineapple/mustard/brownsugar glaze. I skewered the pineapples and cherries for roasting in the drippings. Ham gravy over masheds and dressing is just too good.

Realizations of Pennsylvania

We took a ride last evening to Rocky Ridge Orchards in Kane, Pa. to get some applesauce apples, etc. We ended up with a 1/2 bushel of Cortlands, wanting a chunky/tart sauce. The girls truly love going there with the horse, ponies, decor and roaming domestics about.
To see more of lastnight at the Farm go to http://www.flickr.com/groups/realizationsofpennsylvania/
We also went to Texas Hot in Kane for supper. I just cannot seem to get away from ordering the Chicken Soulvaki every time.

3 stranded toggle added

Sometimes when you are building other pieces such as ArtDolls or basic stringing, cool color combinations emerge. Olive jade, quartz, crystal quartz, Hill Tribe Silver, Red Agate, etc. make for great Fall feel.
