My eldest and I spent the day volunteering at our local art's council in Ridgway Pa. mid week.

The Holiday has been wonderful with my girls, family and friends. We are heading off today to my cousin's for a day of fun at her new home on the hill.
Tomorrow will be Mother's and a prime rib feast and presents.
I am having New Year's Eve once again with invites out to everyone... Just a big spread of Kraut and all the trimmings. I got a new recipe we will be trying out this year with a different herb and spice listing.
Hope your Holiday is everything you wanted and more.

Glass Bottles

Something about glass and bottles... I cannot resist their textures, shapes, colors and styles. Vintage, antique or modern, I love them all!

Etsy Selling

I am having a no success in listing new items in my www.stephaniedistler.etsy.com account once again. It is doing the same, I am not going to load your pic, PITA stuff.
I am wanting to put up some lower end pieces such as faces and forms...and also the 'Beaded Crazy Quilts on Nature' beaded sculptures.

She did finish it then and seemed to appreciate my efforts.

Vintage Beads and Christmas

I used these necklaces last year on the main tree for garland. It was beautifully done in a monochromatic theme of lace, crystal and beads. I lost track of them and then they were found in a varnished card bowl of my Great Great Aunt Wilda Lowrey's.

The Christmas Experience 2005 ;)

I wanted the metal Noma tree this year even though the Family was totally against this grand display of retro loveliness. It has such a stage presence with its twirling carousel spotlight playing off the vintage glass ornaments.

SummersEnd Brooch making

SummersEnd Brooch making

I got a custom order for a brooch based on my SummersEnd ArtDoll that a customer needs for gifting. The back and pin will now be attached along with a botanically inspired fringe along the bottom.
I did not get the decorations down this weekend as planned for my girls were not about. The idea of decorating without them sounded like no fun. So, the tree will just have to wait for after school/work adventures this week. My eldest has plans for sugar cookie baking and has selected all needed Christmas friendly cutters. I DVR'd 15 Holiday specials yesterday also, it took up until 1am this morning, lol...Preparing for our entire decorating experience during the upcoming days ;)
My Mother stole the wee one for Saturday night for her Bellsnickle experience, Middle Child was occupied with Scouts and Band and the Eldest has been crazy with work.
Life does change.....sigh
