Spikey Heart

This 3" artdoll continued to create herself in the 'building' process. Her faux Quartz face is one of mine, utilizing fabulous transparent pc as one component to get the depth and feel of stone.
Many different stitches, seeds, semi-precious stones, Bali silver and of course the dry felt embellishing all sing together in this piece.
If you want one of my copper hammered stands for her please ask and we will talk about price.
A simple one can be made for minimal cost.
They are 3-D fiber art to be viewed as a piece of sculpture in a prominent place of viewing showcasing stitches and technique.

Me in the Gallery

I am in the corner, lol... This is what I have been doing lately. Quite a few new pieces for the Spring using Jaspers, Agates, Ocean Jasper, etc.
Me
These are some of the beads I bought in Florida around Winterpark or the Orlando Area.
I spent way too much money and bought quite a few flowers and leaves made in stone and Czech glass. I created 3 neckpieces out of these Jasper flowers using seed beads for one, Creamy Agates for another and an Aventurine.

New Brooch listed on ETSY

I did 3 of this type of felt brooch and each one is different.
I am starting to put in some of my antique/vintage/retro button collection in my jewelry and embroidery work.
My button collection is huge and everywhere between my house, gallery and studio.

It is not the forms and shapes that are most important to my work, or rather the shadows they cast, the color that resonates from a cherished experience, a piece of paper; strong but, as light as air; or a shard of stain glass cast aside from imperfects, but, prized for it's contribution in light to my overall image."

Can you believe it!

It just amazes me that 3 weeks ago I was in Florida with 85 degrees and sand between my toes :0)
