Charmed Brooch

DSC08840, originally uploaded by mossnbeads.

Look at these brass safety pin style brooches.
I have been making a lot of reclaimed work and wish to continue to do so until the inspiration is gone and moves on to the next need.
Obsession in the creating process ebbs and flows for artists. I have been like that my entire life in art and cannot understand the concept of staying with one style, medium or palette for years on end.
Right now it is playing with antique, vintage and retro components and then hopefully I can get back to bead embroidery for I would like to dive into bead paintings playing with some new ideas swimming about in my head.

Coltsfoot

DSC08464, originally uploaded by mossnbeads.

I had to share this with everyone from artist Pat Eckstrom.
She will be in Gallery again over the weekend during Downtown Diva Night as well as the Johnsonburg Area School District's artshow reception on Sunday at 6:30pm.
The Diva Night will include her painting at easel and 2 other women, one with Intuitive drawings and the other with Iridology. The women will have a relaxing time from 6:30-9:30 with libations and Hors d'oeuvres, creating and health.

Playing with copper

DSC08581, originally uploaded by mossnbeads.

I purchased some great copper and brass on etsy from some wonderful shoppes recently. This is one of 3 necklaces that I recently created from the hammered copper chain. The little embossed key that you see what from the same seller.
The Aventurine melon style beads is beautiful against the copper as well as the carved Jasper flower.
This looks grand against the brass swirl earrings together.

Delilia with some creating courage

A friend sent me this wonderful book by Rollo May last week. I have planted myself on the screen porch glider to read and Delilia decided to take my spot in the afternoon sun.
Thank-you Gingi!!!

Black and white

front of the restaurant, originally uploaded by mossnbeads.

I watched last week on the Ovation network an entire week of photography specials. I feel that B & W photography does lend itself to another layer of understanding.
This is the front of Bistro 188 that I took yesterday, of course originally in color on my digital and then changed it over on Picnic.
Has anyone been experimenting with Picnic?
It is a very user friendly program.
Thank-you Flickr!

The vigil went very well with about 40 townspeople attending. Sasha was the coordinator and did a beautiful job.
