My first attempt at knitted felt. This firebird orange wool, Maine cherry button and purple satin ribbon from my daughter's ribbon jar make a simplistic bill folder. I first put soap and hot water in a pan and worked it, then washed it in a pillow case with hot water/soap in the machine and ran it through the dryer. After all this I still did still not think it was felted enough. I put a little spritz on it and block it with an iron. The iron felted it a bit more. I really love the look. I may line it with a contrasting washed/handfelted piece.
