Summer Garden
These are my beautiful fig leaved Hollyhocks in the throws of summer. I can almost feel the grass in my toes.....
I love this poem:
HOLLYHOCKS
Hollyhocks are God's gift of eternal hope and beauty during the summertime.
Originating from deep within the souls of their stalks, they bloom with all their hearts.
Lovely blooms of multicolor array enrich our lives with both beauty and example.
Life and its lessons can be seen in the process of old blooms dying and new ones forming.
Youthful flowers progress toward maturity, bringing about new life in the process.
Hope for the future is embodied by the constant unfolding of new blooms.
Opulent blooms keep coming, obeying their call, even when flattened by storms.
Creating a constant message of hope for the future, no matter what the present situation.
Knowing that imperfect dying blooms don't negate the future as they provide new life.
Sensitivity and awareness of this ongoing process can inspire us to keep on keeping on.

Holding fast and striving for excellence in the midst of uncertainty.
Overcoming the stresses that are brought on by the storms of life.
Living each new day, looking to the future, content with God’s grace.
Loving God, others and ourselves along the way and having a heart of joy.
Yearning to bring our lives into full bloom by trusting in God to bless.
Having an attitude of success in life in all that we think, say and do.
Occupying our days with faithful obedience, forgetting our past mistakes.
Challenging ourselves in being and seeking God’s best with an attitude of humility.
Keeping on with our destiny while enriching the lives of others.
Serving both God and man in a fullness of bloom with all our hearts.
