Where are we heading?
Oh that's right, shorter days :) Great Wiki HERE on day light saving time.
This morning was breakfast in Portville, NY at Sprague's Maple Farms Restaurant. Two good friends of ours and our daughter headed out around 8:30 for a beautiful drive on a very chilly Sunday. I would recommend it if you are in the area, busy place with loads of menu items to pick from. I think the dinner menu had haddock prepared 7 different ways with a maple Dijon Haddock sounding pretty interesting.
When we arrived home after 12:00, the 26 year old Sugar Maple was well underway for a pretty major trim. I called a friend of ours, that has a tree trimming business, about a month back and while we were gone he showed up. The tree survived it's cut looking none the worse for wear. Thank God for this since it has a crazy history with all three of my girls and now starting with the oldest grandchild Ellimena. Just wish back in the day Spring 1990, when we moved in to this house, I would have cut some of the leader branches.
What did you do with your extra hour today?
Yesterday a friend of my middle daughter asked if she could come to the studio and take portraits of me working, for a photography class she has this semester. I can't wait to see it through her lens. Kaylie is also taking a metals class! Truly awesome!!!!

An extra yawn one morning in the springtime, an extra snooze one night in the autumn is all that we ask in return for dazzling gifts. We borrow an hour one night in April; we pay it back with golden interest five months later.
