Setting up for the 2022 LH JAMS with talented artists/artisans, a fabulous Boutique Food Truck and Impressive LIVE Bands

We have not participated in a juried outside art show since  Lock Haven Jazz and Art on Main Street (LH JAMS) August 2018!  This past weekend's 2022 show was a great opportunity to see how this great show has grown, for we also were one of the artisans from the inaugural LH JAMS held August 2016.

The morning was very rushed since I set my alarm the night before for 4:15 am but, instead of Saturday morning it was set for Monday, lol.  Lock Haven is a 2 hour drive. We did manage to get there around 9:00 and were completely set-up and ready by 10:00, the start of the show!!

We grabbed the display at the pop-up on Friday, Market Street, Johnsonburg, home of the Johnsonburg Farmers' & Artisans' Market (Jfam).

All packed up!

LH JAMS 2016-  wearing two hats this year, I sat up Stephanie Distler Studios on the left and The Wilds Cooperative of PA Creative Maker members pieces gathered from Elk County Council on the Arts, on the right.
LH JAMS 2018-  new display with the portable saw horses, just ordered simple mesh sign and vertical vinyl banner. The vertical banner is made up of my photography and also one of the photos from the Creative Makers of PA traveling show 2016-2017 PROJECT from Katie Weidenboerner Deppen.  More on this amazing Creative Makers of the Pennsylvania Wilds Traveling Show can be found here
LH JAMS 2022-  I was asked to be a demonstrating artisan this year along with other artisans. Among them was Doug Firestone. I have known Doug, of Firestone Forge, for a very long time.  He and I were on the original planning team for the PA Wilds Artisan Trail (before it was the Wilds Cooperative of PA).  It was great to finally set-up at a show with this talented/knowledgeable blacksmith.  Check out his Facebook for current shows and activities at his shop.

Pearl, the Boutique Food Truck:

After my husband and I settled in we needed to find something to eat. Pearl, "The Boutique" Food Truck, was the perfect choice!  As I walked up to order I was overjoyed, for their vibe and menu was absolutely delightful.  This refurbished antique horse trailer, from Paris, France, was charmingly fashioned in the best of ways! Pearl's menu included:
  • Mac n Cheese with candied bacon
  • Pulled pork sandwich
  • Spinach & Marinated Artichoke dip
  • Buffalo Chicken Dip
  • Grazing Boxes
  • Spring mix salad
  • Crème Brulee
I choose the Grazing Box, Spring mix salad and Creme Brulee. These choices were all delicious and the perfect nourishment for a day of creating.

Here is a little swoop move that my phone captured, lol  It was great seeing Meredith at JAMS!

My friend Sue Morris of Sue's Salves always has the best smelling set-up.  A recent interview I did with this talented herbalist here

J.C. Sterling Fine Furniture:

J.C. Sterling Fine Furniture was also a part of this wonderful show.  His furniture is designed, built and finished beautifully.  My father would have loved talking with this brilliant furniture maker.

Plein air painters were all along Main Street:

This year's t-shirts were amazing! Designed by LH JAMS director Steve Getz.

After the show we had a couple craft beers at Floating Feathers Brewing Company and dinner at Rey Azteca.
Sunday we unloaded the car and set-up once again Stephanie Distler Studios pop-up at the Johnsonburg Farmers' & Artisans' Market (Jfam). There are four more Wednesday Markets left!  Lots of fresh vegetables, producer only vendors, artisans, food trucks and musicians each week.  Come for the fresh vegetables and artisan wares, stay for the delicious food and LIVE music!  This Wednesday's performer, the talented Dan Weyant and on site Food Truck, Honkies Food Trailer.

I am excited to fill up the new arrangement with jewelry.  The check-out station is now on the back part of the big display, brought in my big art show chair and hung The WCO of PA handmade kraft paper sign that I stenciled 6 years back.

This Wednesday I will be making more copper hoops to replenish inventory in different sizes.

Look at that sweet little owl plant stake from Conklin Studio Pottery.  He is one of my favorite purchases this year at Jfam <3

See you soon, perhaps off the beaten trail, somewhere in the PA Wilds!  Enjoy, live, love.
