Starting off a Saturday
This morning included a great breakfast in St. Marys at D. D.'s Specialty Bakery and Cafe on Erie Avenue with my husband and Daughter. Lots of coffee to to with our breakfast choices including fresh made honey wheat oatmeal bread for dippy egg dipping. This has been our go to place for breakfast lately to chow on all the fresh baked offerings. This wonderful cafe also buys a lot of their meats and other ingredients locally. Ran into quite a few wonderful folks while we were enjoying our breakfasts, quite a blast from the past.
After we hit Thompson's Deli right down the avenue for handmade smoked sausage, slab bacon, beef roast, meat loaf mix and a bag of pretty awesome looking potatoes. This is where I purchase olive oil cured olives too that have been making there way in not just antipasti, pizza and breads but, just plain popped in my mouth like chocolates. Bill Thompson was a year a head of me in High School and has had this great meat market and Deli for quite sometime with very high quality cuts and products at fabulous prices.
